Beyonce 'Midnight Heat' Fragrance Review & Giveaway

Beyonce's new fragrance for women is called Midnight Heat and you can find it in stores now. Midnight Heat, a flanker to 2010's best-seller Heat, is a gourmand fruity floral developed by perfumer Olivier Gillotin. As usual with Beyonce fragrances, Midnight Heat is launched in collaboration with Coty. The scent will be available in 15, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

The notes for Midnight Heat are dragon fruit, star fruit, plum, orchid, black tulip, peony, amber, patchouli and sandalwood. Described as a sensual fragrance, embodying the hot summer nights, the scent is like a trip to the tropics in bottle. Strong fruity notes intertwine with heady florals, to give a nice result. The scent starts off very fruity and it quite remains that way all the way through. Upon first spritz, you can definitely smell the plum and the exotic fruits. Next, the florals join in and they are quite balanced between each other, but the orchid does take center stage every now and again. The base is not very heavy, but the patchouli and the amber are indeed the main players as the scent dries down.

The warm, spicy undertones make this a sensual fragrance, more suitable for evening wear. Overall, this is a good scent from Beyonce. It sits nicely on the skin, it's not sharp or too strong, and I quite like the purple packaging, I think it's probably the nicest packaging so far for a Beyonce fragrance. Midnight Heat is a scent you'll want to take with you on your next summer trip, wear on those hot summer nights, but ultimately, you can wear it all year round as long as fruity scents are your preference.

If you are a fan of Beyonce's fragrances, please join my Facebook and Twitter pages, because I am doing a competition and you can WIN a 30ml bottle of Beyonce's Midnight Heat, courtesy of the very nice people from Coty Romania.
